A staffing scarcity across the business has resulted in a slew of issues, including significantly longer wait times and irritated clients. A waiter robot may make a huge impact in a restaurant in this situation. Waiter Robot is a leading automation technology aimed at revolutionizing the delivery of food and services in restaurants, cafeterias, and hotels. Developed with Arduino UNO and L293D motor driver, the robot moves from its point of origin to targeted tables based on elementary push-button instructions (T1–T4), with other functions like Waste Collection (W) and Reset (back to point of origin) introducing versatility. In order to provide safety and flexibility, the robot is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacles; upon approaching an object or a person, a buzzer alarm will be produced to inform the robot as well as the people around it. For manual movement, the circuit contains a Bluetooth module (HC-05) to allow users to remotely control the robot through smartphone when autonomous movement is impossible. Gaining a new dimension of interactivity, an ISD voice recording module with a speaker allows pre-recorded messages to be communicated, and the robot “speaks” when it hands over food, greets customers, or responds to barriers—becoming not only useful but also interesting for people. Also the messages are updateable. It is powered by a 12V rechargeable battery pack (constructed from 6 × 4V cells) that guarantees long cycles of operation with consistent performance.
