Description This Aritzia Boiled Wool Mud Cloth Lumbar Pillow was repurposed from a shawl made by “Wilfred” sold by “Aritzia”. This is something that I happened on after inadvertently throwing one of mine in the wash, something I am sure a good number of us have done. As you can see these shawls felt beautifully, I was momentarily devastated until I realized the repurposing of this textile would be stunning. Much of the motivation behind “My Vintage Pillow” is restoration and repurposing. While for the most part I am drawn to vintage textiles, I also won’t overlook premium quality newer textiles that need a little love and attention. Wilfred shawls are no longer 100% wool, which means I snatch the older “vintage” up where ever I can find them. There are two styles to choose from; teal/grey mud cloth with a backing of rich indigo charcoal velvet and teal/grey/gold splash with a backing of indigo black cashmere. Felted wool is a luxury textile; soft and dense. This handmade designer pillow is so dense it virtually stands up on its own, without a pillow insert. Crazy cool! Texture Felted wool, velvet and cashmere are a soft smooth combination. Features & Unpacked Dimensions This high quality all-natural textile comes to you reconditioned and re-designed. To ensure function and facilitate moderate cleaning for countless years to come the textiles within this throw pillow have been stabilized to a cotton backing. Flat case measurements are roughly 15” x 25”. There is a top or bottom facing gold metal zipper. Additional Value This textile has gone through thorough cleaning and sanitization, a new duck feather insert is included with your purchase, alternatively a poly fill insert is available upon request. Care & Content 100% Wool, Velvet and Cashmere. Hand wash in cool water with a dedicated “wool fiber” laundry soap, roll pillow cover in a light-colored clean towel and step on it. Lay flat to dry. Alternatively, dry cleaning is an option.
